ADULT DIVISION

Hudson Ballet Theatre's Adult Division is a performance program for adult learners to give adult ballet students an opportunity to apply what they have learned in the studio to the stage. Dancers will have the opportunity to learn original choreography and rehearse with the Directors of HBT as well as perform alongside professional dancers in our full-length productions. The program is open to all beginner to advanced levels and was founded to encourage adult learners to explore their passion for ballet in a performance setting.

More About the Program

Lead by Co-Director, Aaron Ho-Shia Thao, the Adult Division carries out HBT's mission to provide high quality training for all ages and access to dance for the lower Hudson Valley and Bronx community. Dancers will have the opportunity to learn original choreography by Co-Director Aaron Thao which will be based on participants’ levels. Rehearsals will carefully explain how to transform studio technique into stage performance.

Adult Division participants have two opportunities to perform with Hudson Ballet Theatre:  in our annual Nutcracker in December and our Spring Performance in June. Rehearsals typically take place on Saturday afternoons in Westchester County. The rehearsal schedule, location, and performance venues will be released to participants at the beginning of each semester.
