HUDSON YOUTH BALLET
YOUTH DIVISION
Hudson Ballet Theatre's youth division, Hudson Youth Ballet (HYB) partners with City Center Dance to provide quality dance training to students in our community. HYB dancers are a part of HBT's fall and spring performances, dancing alongside the company and gaining valuable experience being a part of professional productions.

HYB Leveling
HYB mini

HYB mini students are generally 5-6 years of age and are not required to have any years of ballet training. These students typically have one smaller roll in each HBT show.

HYB Levels I-V
​
Leveling for HYB students ages 7-18 is determined by HBT directors based on age, skill and physical and emotional development. (Dancers 6+ without any formal dancer training are still able to enroll and perform in HYB productions). Students enrolled in City Center Dance's Pre-Professional Program will have the same HYB level as Pre-Pro level. The differences in leveling is reflected in HYB casting. Dancers placed in higher levels will be cast in larger, more difficult roles, with levels IV and V performing en pointe.

*Dancers who are a part of JCCMW or City Center Dance's Pre Professional Division will receive a 10% discount on HYB tuition. Please use code AFFILIATE10 at checkout. To receive the Affiliated Program discount, students must be enrolled in the affiliated program at the time of HYB's first rehearsal for the season and must pay HBY tuition by the communicated tuition deadline.
